Our Students Say
I come from a French public school in Westmount. My biggest fear before attending Marianopolis was the transition from French to English, since I was afraid the adjustment would negatively affect my ability to communicate properly with my classmates and my academics. However, Marianopolis has been a smooth ride so far, and I’ve had an easier time adjusting than I initially thought.

I am a student ambassador, member of the first aid team, coxswain for the rowing team and an executive for Global Brigades; we are organizing a humanitarian trip to Nicaragua this summer! My favorite aspect of Marianopolis is definitely the teachers. They are very helpful and open to conversation. I often chat with them on totally non-course related work topics and they always leave me with insightful reflections on the matter.

I cannot imagine completing my education anywhere else. There are so many ways to be involved within the college, and doing so really helps find your place. Aside from being executive of Silver Key, I am also involved in the Photography Club, where I additionally take pictures for Humans of Marianopolis

Coming into Marianopolis, I was worried about the tuition costs coming from public to private, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the financial aid resources present at the college, which helped me pay my tuition. I was also worried that I would never have time for anything but studying, but I was able to keep a part-time job at Starbucks while pursuing my studies as well as have time to hang out with my friends.

I have made many friends in my different classes and thanks to the multiple clubs I have joined and still participate in. A few of them are Marianopolis Hallyu, Silver Key and the Marianopolis Psychology Club.

One of my biggest worries before coming to Marianopolis was making friends and finding like-minded people. My worries were quickly appeased on my first day of school when I discovered that everyone was in the same scary situation as me. It wasn't long before I found a great group of friends that I know I will have for the rest of my life.
