Commerce is one of the profiles offered as part of the Social Science Program. As a result, Commerce students receive the excellent background in critical thinking and methodology that the Marianopolis Social Science program provides while preparing for university admissions in Commerce or Business Administration.

This program will appeal to students fascinated by human society: its origin, functioning, institutions, as well as the interpersonal relationships of individuals within society -- in particular, students who want an excellent preparation for university studies in any business-oriented program or a career in accounting, finance or marketing.

Commerce at Marianopolis is designed to prepare students for university studies in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Management, Management Information Systems and Marketing. This program is also an excellent background for Law and Economics.

Honours Commerce profile: Honours Commerce enables students to focus their commerce studies even further through activities such guest lectures and participation in a stock market competition.

Admissions Requirements

The basic entrance requirement for admission to Marianopolis College is the Quebec Diploma of Secondary Studies and for the Social Science – Commerce profile include the following:

  • Prerequisite:
    • Secondary V Mathematics TS (064506, 564506) or Mathematics SN (065506, 565506)
  • Minimum historical admission averages
    • Overall average: 75%
    • Secondary IV and V Math TS or SN: 75% minimum in each grade
